Non-profit Buddhist organizations are designed to bring spiritual well-being and peace into people’s hearts. They are not designed to maximize material or financial gains. Instead, a Buddhist organization’s profits are measured by the spiritual gains of its supporters. Offering knowledge and understanding about what brings peace and harmony into their lives is a key measure of the organization’s success. This means that we teach what should be taught, out of compassion for our supporters, regardless of their status or means. In return the supporters give what they have to spare and feel inclined to share. They give simply because giving is good for the heart and because daily acts of generosity help to ensure the survival of the Dhamma as a living principle.
Forest Dhamma Monastery Organization is the steward organization that supports all Forest Dhamma activities. Besides providing the wider Buddhist community with free publications of the literature of Ajaan Mahā Boowa and his disciples, Forest Dhamma is in the process of establishing a monastic community dedicated to fully integrating the teachings of Ajaan Mun and Ajaan Mahā Boowa into daily practice, while living in the tranquil setting of a forest sanctuary in the United States. See the About section for details.
